Cynthia N. Sass, Esquire, is the sole shareholder of the Law Offices of Cynthia N. Sass, P.A., a four-attorney firm based in Tampa, Florida. Cynthia Sass obtained her law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1987 and graduated from Smith College. She was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1987. She is also admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. Since 1990, Cynthia Sass has limited her practice to labor and employment matters. Ms. Sass has been active in the litigation of employment discrimination cases in various federal and state courts, and has significant experience in all aspects of the practice of employment law. One of Cynthia Sass' age discrimination cases is listed in VerdictSearch's Top Florida Verdicts & Settlements of 2011. Cynthia Sass is currently a member of the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions, and both the American Bar Association Labor & Employment Law's Leadership Development Program and its Employment Rights and Responsibilities Section. She is also Employee Co-Chair of the American Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Technology in the Practice and Workplace Committee and Employment-at-Will Subcommittee, as well as a Board Member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association's Trial Lawyer Section. She is the past Chair of The Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law Section for 2006-2007, served as its Legal Education Chair in 2004-2005, and the CLE Chair for 2003-2004. Cynthia Sass was President of the Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, also called Florida NELA, in 1999-2000. Florida NELA is the state chapter of a national organization of lawyers who represent individual employees in cases involving employment discrimination, wrongful termination, employee benefits and other employment-related matters. Cynthia Sass also served as co-Chair of the Individual Rights Committee of the Labor and Employment Law Section of The Florida Bar and was appointed an Executive Council Member in 1998. Additionally, Ms. Sass is a Certified Circuit Court Mediator for the state of Florida. Martindale-Hubbell rates Cynthia Sass as an AV attorney, which is its highest ranking, and also lists her on its Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. She was also included on its Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers since 2009. Ms. Sass' firm is also included in the U.S. News & World Report - Best Lawyers under Best Law Firms for 2011-2014. In November 2011 she was inducted as a Fellow of The College of Labor & Employment Lawyers.
