Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Connors attended the University of North Florida, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994, and attend Loyola University New Orleans School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1999. After graduation, Mr. Connors stayed in Louisiana and served as the judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jacques A. Sanborn of the 34th Judicial District Court, Division “E”, Parish of St. Bernard, State of Louisiana. Mr. Connors entered private practice in 2002, and has successfully litigated employment law, family law, workplace personal injury, workers’ compensation, asbestos, benzene, and occupational noise-induced hearing loss cases in both Florida and Louisiana.
In 2011, Mr. Connors returned to Florida to practice law with is father-in-law, Mr. R. John Westberry (now retired). In 2012, they formed the law firm of Westberry & Connors, LLC. After Mr. Westberry's retirement, Mr. Connors changed the firm name to, The Law Offices of Clayton M. Connors, PLLC. Mr. Connors is a skilled trial attorney more than 20 years of litigation experience. Since returning to Florida, Mr. Connors’ practice includes litigating all types of employment issues, in addition to cases involving general business litigation and personal injury. In May of 2017, Mr. Connors became board certified by the State of Florida in the area of Labor and Employment law.
Mr. Connors currently practices in all Florida and Louisiana state courts and is licensed to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Florida, and the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana.
Mr. Connors and his wife Stephanie have been married for 23 years and have three children. In his spare time, Mr. Connors enjoys officiating swim meets, attending his sons’ travel baseball and soccer games and surfing with his sons.
